R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Dot Adler received the 2012 Anita Hill Lifetime
  Achievement Award from the Dallas County Council of Republican
  Women at a special ceremony on December 4; and
         WHEREAS, Named for the late Anita Hill of Garland, who served
  as a state representative from 1977 until 1993, the award is given
  to an active member of the DCCRW who has demonstrated a lifelong
  commitment to promoting the values, goals, and candidates of the
  Republican Party; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Adler has volunteered her time in behalf of the
  party since 1960 and has held membership in the Dallas Downtown
  Republican Women's Club since 1964, serving six terms as its
  president; moreover, she has shared her talents as treasurer,
  recording secretary, and publicity director for the DCCRW and has
  served as historian for the Texas Federation of Republican Women;
  and
         WHEREAS, Through her dedicated efforts, Dot Adler has
  furthered the tradition of civic involvement that is the foundation
  of the American political process, and she is indeed deserving of
  this prestigious honor; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Dot Adler on her receipt of the
  2012 Anita Hill Lifetime Achievement Award from the Dallas County
  Council of Republican Women and extend to her sincere best wishes
  for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Adler as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
