R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Josephine Rebecca Casina Marie Davidson of Terrell |
|
|
has made outstanding contributions to her community, and her kind |
|
|
and caring ways have brightened the lives of all who know her; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of George and Jennie Edwards, the |
|
|
former Josephine Edwards was born in Lincolnton, North Carolina, on |
|
|
July 26, 1931; she began her education in Poplar Springs, North |
|
|
Carolina, in a one-room schoolhouse heated in the winter by a |
|
|
potbellied stove; later, she attended Oaklawn High School and then |
|
|
graduated from Patterson Co-op High School in Dayton, Ohio; she |
|
|
went on to nursing school and became a licensed practical nurse; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Davidson is the devoted mother of six children, |
|
|
Jerry, Robert, George, Ima, Catherine, and Reba, and she plays a |
|
|
loving role in the lives of many others in her circle, offering |
|
|
comfort, wisdom, and spiritual guidance; she has served as a |
|
|
speaker at many ladies' day programs through the years and sets a |
|
|
remarkable example for her fellow citizens through her many good |
|
|
deeds; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With her sunny personality and wonderful sense of |
|
|
humor, Josephine Davidson has brought joy to innumerable people, |
|
|
and her generosity, compassion, and dedication are a source of |
|
|
inspiration to all who are privileged to know her; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby recognize Josephine Rebecca Davidson for her |
|
|
service to her community and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mrs. Davidson as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
