R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Mabel Aline Galyean of Golden passed away on October |
|
15, 2012, at the age of 89, leaving her circle of family and friends |
|
to cherish their many happy memories of time spent in her company; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Samuel Woodard and Catherine Aubrey |
|
Scogin Caldwell, Mabel Galyean was born on August 7, 1923, in Alba; |
|
she married James Virgil Galyean on Thanksgiving Day in 1946, and |
|
the pair were blessed with three sons, Ronnie, Paul, and Darrell; |
|
Mr. and Mrs. Galyean shared six decades together until his passing |
|
in 2007; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Galyean was a longtime resident of the |
|
Golden area and a valued member of the Bright Star Baptist Church |
|
of Alba; over the years, she delighted in seeing her family grow to |
|
include 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and a |
|
great-great-granddaughter; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mabel Galyean lived a rich and purposeful life |
|
centered around her faith and her family, and she will long be |
|
remembered with deep affection by all who knew her; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Mabel Aline Galyean |
|
and extend deepest sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
sons, Ronnie and his wife, Glenda, Paul and his wife, Jean Ann, and |
|
Darrell and his wife, Twanda; to her grandchildren, Matt Galyean, |
|
Sarah Crump, Chad Galyean, Leigh Parker, Brian Heith Galyean, |
|
Rachel Baines, and Josh Galyean; to her great-grandchildren, |
|
Steven, Bradley, Conner, Jessica, Lauren, Lucas, Raeleigh, Emma, |
|
Ryan, JordanKaye, Aubrey, Landon, Dawson, and Payton; to her |
|
great-great-granddaughter, Alexandra Rose; and to her other |
|
relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Mabel Aline |
|
Galyean. |
