R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Luciana and Rollie Murphy of Lubbock celebrated |
|
|
their 50th wedding anniversary on December 12, 2012, and they may |
|
|
indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have |
|
|
shared; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Rollie Murphy and the former Luciana Cioffi |
|
|
exchanged the vows of matrimony in Verona, Italy, in 1962, and over |
|
|
the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a loving |
|
|
life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Murphy take pride in a fine family that |
|
|
includes their children, Vincenzo Murphy and his wife, Lili, Nancy |
|
|
Murphy Bowles and her husband, Jason, and Marcello Murphy and his |
|
|
wife, Angi, as well as Marilyn Murphy, the widow of their son, Dino; |
|
|
moreover, their lives have been enriched by the addition of nine |
|
|
grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For half a century, Mr. and Mrs. Murphy have brought |
|
|
to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it is a |
|
|
pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Luciana and Rollie Murphy on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Murphy as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
