R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Dodie and James Walker of Lubbock celebrated their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary on December 29, 2012, and they may indeed |
|
|
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, James Walker and the former Dodie Davis exchanged |
|
|
the vows of matrimony in Castle Rock, Colorado, in 1962, and over |
|
|
the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a loving |
|
|
life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Walker are the parents of four |
|
|
children, Kelly Moss, Janelle Tharp, Sheryl Walker, and the late |
|
|
Eric Walker, and today their family includes their sons-in-law, |
|
|
Randy and Brian, and their daughter-in-law, Christine, and eight |
|
|
grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For half a century, Dodie and James Walker have |
|
|
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Dodie and James Walker on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Walker as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
