R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five |
|
|
decades, Gloria and Bert Turner of Lubbock celebrated their 50th |
|
|
wedding anniversary on December 29, 2012; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Bert Turner and the former Gloria Lammert exchanged |
|
|
the vows of matrimony in Sagerton on that memorable day in 1962, and |
|
|
over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a |
|
|
devoted life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Turner count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes their son, Jay Turner, and his wife, |
|
|
Julie, as well as a grandchild, with whom they treasure sharing the |
|
|
many special occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past five decades, Gloria and |
|
|
Bert Turner can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and know |
|
|
that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that many |
|
|
more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Gloria and Bert Turner on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Turner as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
