H.R. No. 224
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The citizens of Moore County lost an esteemed
  community leader with the death of retired sheriff H. T. Montgomery
  on June 3, 2012; and
         WHEREAS, Born in 1948 in Oklahoma, "Ted" Montgomery was the
  son of Thomas and Juanita Bradley Montgomery; he married Marguerite
  Foster in 1969, and the couple became the parents of two beloved
  sons; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Montgomery served for many years as the sheriff
  of Moore County in the Panhandle, and he was a life member of the
  Sheriffs' Association of Texas; he and his wife lived in Chandler,
  where they worshiped at First Baptist Church; and
         WHEREAS, Ted Montgomery distinguished himself as a dedicated
  public servant, and he is remembered with great admiration and
  deeply missed; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of H. T. Montgomery and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife of
  42 years, Marguerite Montgomery; to his son, Shelton Montgomery; to
  his brothers, Robert, Duane, and Roy Dale Montgomery; and to his
  other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of H. T.
  Montgomery.
