R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Pamela Garrett of the Amarillo Independent School |
|
|
District received well-deserved recognition when she was named a |
|
|
Teacher of the Year by the Region 16 Education Service Center in |
|
|
August 2012; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The winners of these prestigious annual awards are |
|
|
first nominated for consideration by their fellow faculty members, |
|
|
and they advance through district selections before becoming |
|
|
eligible for the regional honor; Ms. Garrett, who was chosen as the |
|
|
Elementary Teacher of the Year, was one of just seven individuals |
|
|
from the Panhandle area to be considered for the accolade; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A prekindergarten teacher at South Georgia |
|
|
Elementary School, this outstanding educator has impressed her |
|
|
peers with her ability to customize lessons to appeal to the unique |
|
|
learning abilities of each of her students; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through her creativity, energy, and |
|
|
resourcefulness, Pamela Garrett has inspired in her students a love |
|
|
of learning that will serve them well throughout their lives; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Pamela Garrett on her selection as |
|
|
a Teacher of the Year by the Region 16 Education Service Center and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success with her |
|
|
important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Garrett as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
