R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The Round Rock Chamber of Commerce held its annual |
|
awards banquet on September 18, 2012, to recognize a number of local |
|
citizens and businesses that have helped to make this community a |
|
better place in which to live, work, and raise a family; and |
|
WHEREAS, At this memorable event, Jeff Andresen was named |
|
Citizen of the Year and Raymond Hartfield was recognized with the |
|
Lifetime Achievement Award; the pair were honored for leadership, |
|
character, and civic contributions that have made a positive |
|
difference in the Round Rock community; and |
|
WHEREAS, The chamber also paid tribute to local industry, |
|
with MaggieMoo's Ice Cream and Treatery receiving the title of Big |
|
Boy Hester Small Business of the Year and St. David's Round Rock |
|
Medical Center being recognized as Business of the Year; each was |
|
cited for its notable involvement in the community and in the |
|
chamber as well as for its contributions to the local economy; |
|
additionally, Dell, Inc., was named Global Business of the Year for |
|
its success in international commerce; and |
|
WHEREAS, The Outstanding Member of the Year award was |
|
presented to Cody Pope, a dedicated supporter of the chamber's |
|
programs and events; and |
|
WHEREAS, The citizens of Round Rock have greatly benefited |
|
from the interest and involvement of these outstanding community |
|
partners, whose endeavors are continuing to shape the growth and |
|
development of the town they are proud to call home; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the recipients of the 2012 Round |
|
Rock Chamber of Commerce annual awards and extend to them sincere |
|
best wishes for continued achievement; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for the honorees as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
