R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five |
|
|
decades, Ruth and Modesto Navarrette of Lubbock celebrated their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary on January 25, 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Modesto Navarrette and the former Ruth Galindo |
|
|
exchanged the vows of matrimony in Lubbock on that memorable day in |
|
|
1963, and over the course of their marriage, they have found in each |
|
|
other a devoted life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Navarrette count among their blessings |
|
|
a fine family that includes three children and their spouses, |
|
|
Patricia Ortega and her husband, David, Cindy Tarabori and her |
|
|
husband, Aaron, and Modesto Navarrette, Jr., and his wife, Dora, as |
|
|
well as six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, with whom |
|
|
they treasure sharing the many special occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past five decades, Ruth and |
|
|
Modesto Navarrette can savor a wealth of cherished family memories |
|
|
and know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that |
|
|
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ruth and Modesto Navarrette of |
|
|
Lubbock on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Navarrette as an expression of high |
|
|
regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
