R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |
|
of Otila Flores of Mission who passed away on January 11, 2013, at |
|
the age of 66; and |
|
WHEREAS, "Tilly Bell" Flores was the first child born to |
|
Eustacio Flores, Sr., and Hermila Salinas Flores, and she was |
|
greatly respected and admired by her seven younger siblings; over |
|
the years, she also shared her love with twin daughters, Dina and |
|
Brenda, and a son, Steven, and she later knew the joy of welcoming |
|
into her family three grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, A woman of deep faith, Ms. Flores loved to read the |
|
Bible and was a firm believer in the power of prayer; she was known |
|
by many for her optimism, contagious smile, willingness to help |
|
others, and knack for making friends wherever she went; and |
|
WHEREAS, Tilly Flores lived a rich and purposeful life |
|
centered around her faith and her family, and she will long be |
|
remembered with deep affection by all who knew her; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby honor the memory of Otila Flores and extend |
|
deepest sympathy to the members of her family: to her daughters, |
|
Dina Guerrero and Brenda G. McKendrick and her husband, William; to |
|
her son, Steven Guerrero; to her grandchildren, Lauren Olivia |
|
Guerrero, Gabriela Nicole Martinez, and Alexandria Martinez; to her |
|
siblings, Amalia Flores, Orfelinda F. Jimenez and her husband, |
|
Juan, Eustacio Flores, Jr., and his wife, Elva, Luisa Ruiz and her |
|
husband, Rolando, Peter Flores and his wife, Mary, Joe Flores and |
|
his wife, Diana, and Tony Flores and his wife, Ninfa; and to her |
|
other relatives and many friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for the members of her family and that when the Texas House |
|
of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Tilly |
|
Flores. |
