R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A rich and purposeful life ended far too soon with
  the passing of Robert Daniel Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, who died
  on January 6, 2013, at the age of 35; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Rodriguez was born in Dallas on August 3, 1977,
  to Rene and Nelda Rodriguez; after graduating from Richard King
  High School in 1995, he earned a bachelor's degree from St. Edward's
  University in Austin and went on to attend law school at Texas
  Southern University in Houston; he worked as a prosecuting attorney
  for the Nueces County District Attorney's Office in Corpus Christi
  before entering private practice; and
         WHEREAS, Affable and witty, Mr. Rodriguez never lost his
  sense of humor, even in his final days; he often made those around
  him laugh, while his natural kindness touched their hearts; and
         WHEREAS, Though no words can diminish the pain of a life cut
  short, those who shared in the love and friendship of Robert
  Rodriguez will forever treasure their memories of this special man;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Robert Daniel
  Rodriguez and extend sincere condolences to the members of his
  family: to his parents, Rene Daniel Rodriguez and Nelda Vidaurri
  Rodriguez; to his sister, Kate Marie Rodriguez; to his grandmother,
  Jilma Vidaurri; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Robert
  Daniel Rodriguez.
