R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Roddy and Bonnie Hamilton of Midland |
|
|
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 26, 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Roddy Hamilton and the former Bonnie Wells were |
|
|
united in matrimony in Midland in 1963; through the years, they have |
|
|
nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with |
|
|
the addition of three children, Tony, Terry, and Amy, and seven |
|
|
grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of the community, Mr. Hamilton |
|
|
owns and operates Hamilton Optical, while Mrs. Hamilton is a |
|
|
homemaker; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
|
five decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
|
in their commitment to each other, and the strength of their love |
|
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|
|
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Roddy and Bonnie Hamilton on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
