R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jim Wilson has been named the 2012 Ambassador of the |
|
|
Year by the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Presented to active and valued members, the |
|
|
Ambassador of the Year award honors individuals who have |
|
|
consistently attended chamber events and recruited new affiliates; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A truly deserving recipient, Jim Wilson of Minuteman |
|
|
Press Georgetown has greatly contributed to the mission of the |
|
|
organization, and he also has a long and impressive record of |
|
|
community service; the 1983 Georgetown Citizen of the Year, he is a |
|
|
member of the SERTOMA Club, the Main Street program, and First |
|
|
United Methodist Church; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The vitality of a community depends in large measure |
|
|
on the dedication and leadership of its citizens, and Jim Wilson has |
|
|
set an example of civic engagement to which others may aspire; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jim Wilson on being named the 2012 |
|
|
Ambassador of the Year by the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Wilson as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
