R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Wendy Cash has been named the 2012 Volunteer of the |
|
|
Year by the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A truly deserving recipient, Ms. Cash has greatly |
|
|
contributed to the mission of the chamber; she is a member of the |
|
|
board of directors, has co-chaired the Leadership Georgetown |
|
|
program and the Silver Screen Seminars series, and has supported |
|
|
the Bar-Bid-Cue Auction Committee; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Cash also has served as an ambassador at Berry |
|
|
Creek, and she further shares her time with the Exceptional |
|
|
Georgetown Alliance; the mother of three children, she is a real |
|
|
estate agent in business with her husband, Cris; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The vitality of a community depends in large measure |
|
|
on the dedication and leadership of its citizens, and Wendy Cash |
|
|
sets an example of civic engagement to which others may aspire; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Wendy Cash on being named the 2012 |
|
|
Volunteer of the Year by the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Cash as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
