R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Members and alumni of Leadership Gillespie County |
|
|
contribute immeasurably to their community as civic leaders and |
|
|
volunteers; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Created by the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce in |
|
|
1994, Leadership Gillespie County was formed to expand the network |
|
|
of potential county leaders and to enhance its participants' |
|
|
knowledge of local issues and familiarity with area businesses, |
|
|
schools, hospitals, government, and civic and charitable |
|
|
organizations; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Leadership Gillespie County requires a two-year |
|
|
commitment, and its members take part in a program that inspires |
|
|
activism and teamwork; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through its efforts to build a more informed and |
|
|
involved citizenry, Leadership Gillespie County is helping to |
|
|
create a brighter and more promising future, not only locally, but |
|
|
also for the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Leadership Gillespie County for its |
|
|
promotion of civic leadership and volunteerism and extend to its |
|
|
participants sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
