R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Members of the State Republican Executive Committee
  are visiting the Capitol on February 28, 2013; and
         WHEREAS, The State Republican Executive Committee is the
  governing body of the Republican Party of Texas; the committee
  establishes general policy while working diligently to advance the
  issues of the GOP; and
         WHEREAS, Each state senatorial district is represented by one
  man and one woman; ably filling those roles in 2013 are Sue Evenwel,
  Stephen Lee, Nathan Derr, Vicki Slaton, Judy Parada, Jim Wiggins,
  Rosemary Roe, Michael Truncale, Megan Higginbotham, Russell
  Martinez, Glenda Bowles, Rex Teter, Mark Ramsey, Valoree Swanson,
  Neal Katz, Candy Noble, Bill Eastland, Sara Legvold, Jim Borchert,
  Leslie Recine, Sheryl Berg, Dennis Paul, Jean McIver, Tom
  Washington, Rex Lamb, Bonnie Lugo, Randy Samuelson, Davida Stike,
  Vergel Cruz, Montie Watkins, Randall Dunning, Paige McAleer, Marvin
  Clede, Tina Gibson, Becky Berger, Ben Zeller, James Barnes, Gayla
  Miller, Angie Flores, Bob Jones, Naomi Narvaiz, Eric Opiela, Janet
  Jackson, Frank Steed, Linda Butts, Michael Flusche, Joy Ellinger,

  Stanko, Frank Morris, Norma Tovar, Jane Cansino, Russ Duerstine,
  Mary Holmsley, David Thackston, Rena Peden, Danny Pelton, Rhonda
  Lacy, and Tom Roller; and
         WHEREAS, These dedicated Texans currently serve under the
  leadership of chair Steve Munisteri, general counsel Patrick
  O'Daniel, national committeeman Robin Armstrong, national
  committeewoman Borah Van Dormolen, RNC general counsel Bill
  Crocker, secretary Mandy Tschoepe, vice chair Melinda Fredricks,
  treasurer Tom Mechler, chaplain Rex Johnson, sergeant at arms Nelda
  Epps, and parliamentarian Butch Davis; and
         WHEREAS, The State Republican Executive Committee is an
  energetic force in the public affairs of the Lone Star State, and
  the efforts of its members have encouraged citizen engagement in
  public dialogue and furthered the worthy American tradition of
  political participation; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize February 28, 2013, as State Republican
  Executive Committee Day at the Capitol and extend to the
  organization's members sincere best wishes for an enjoyable visit.
