R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Powell and Carol Adams of Lubbock celebrated their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary on February 2, 2013, and they may indeed |
|
|
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Powell Adams and the former Carol Ewing exchanged |
|
|
the vows of matrimony at a ceremony held in Lubbock in 1963, and |
|
|
over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a |
|
|
loving life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Adams count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes 4 children, Mary Jan Beakley, Karen Jo |
|
|
Matsler, Richard Adams, and Nancy Pfeil, as well as 12 |
|
|
grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, with whom they treasure |
|
|
sharing many special occasions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For half a century, Mr. and Mrs. Adams have brought |
|
|
to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it is a |
|
|
pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Powell and Carol Adams on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Adams as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
