R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Iraq War veteran Adan Rogelio Gallegos served his
  country with great distinction as a Specialist Four in the United
  States Army, and he recently completed the rigorous TRACK program
  of the Wounded Warrior Project; and
         WHEREAS, Assigned to the 4th Battalion, 42nd Field Artillery,
  1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Mr. Gallegos was a
  motor transport operator and took part in Operation Red Dawn, the
  mission that captured former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein; he saw
  intense combat and earned a number of decorations over the course of
  his military career, including the Army Commendation Medal, Global
  War On Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and Army
  Lapel Button; he received both his Marksman Qualification Badge
  with Rifle Bar and his Driver and Mechanic Badge with Driver Bar;
  and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Gallegos was a member one of the third
  graduating class of the Wounded Warrior Project TRACK in San
  Antonio, a challenging yearlong program of education, community
  service, and transformational training developed to assist
  disabled veterans in the transition to civilian life; veterans
  enrolled in TRACK participate in a whole-life fitness and wellness
  course as well as a nine-month educational component, with classes
  provided through the Alamo Colleges system in San Antonio and
  Florida State College at Jacksonville; in addition, students
  undertake externships with local employers, and they may get
  involved in the WWP Peer Mentoring program for newly injured
  service members, as Mr. Gallegos has done; and
         WHEREAS, After completing his military service, Mr. Gallegos
  was employed for five years as a production/quality improvement
  group leader at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas; he worked
  diligently to help the plant win the JD Power Silver Plant Award,
  and he was selected as 1st Quality Team Manager from among all the
  plant's employees; Mr. Gallegos subsequently attended Northwest
  Vista College while participating in TRACK; and
         WHEREAS, Through his courageous and selfless service in this
  nation's armed forces, Adan Gallegos has earned the lasting respect
  and gratitude of every American, and he continues to inspire all who
  are privileged to know him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Adan Rogelio Gallegos for his service in
  the United States Army and his accomplishments in the Wounded
  Warrior Project TRACK program and extend to him sincere best wishes
  for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Gallegos as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
