R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Members of the Cleburne Chamber of Commerce and the
  Cleburne Tuesday Forum are visiting the State Capitol on March 5,
  2013, and this occasion provides a welcome opportunity to pay
  tribute to these two notable public-spirited organizations; and
         WHEREAS, After a preliminary meeting held on December 20,
  1918, the Cleburne Chamber of Commerce charter was approved on
  February 17 of the following year; on March 21, at the
  organization's first regular meeting, 84 chamber members pledged to
  give back to the city in which they worked and raised their
  families; during the ensuing decades, the chamber has focused on
  the areas of industry and agriculture, emphasized the importance of
  planning and community development, and worked closely with the
  North Texas Tollway Authority and the Texas Department of
  Transportation on the Chisholm Trail Parkway project to ensure
  positive growth for Cleburne and surrounding areas; currently, the
  organization has more than 950 members and receives over 9,300
  visitors and 12,000 phone calls per year; and
         WHEREAS, The Cleburne Tuesday Forum is a nonprofit
  association that provides a platform for public discussion of
  issues that affect Johnson County; in existence for 40 years, the
  forum is made up of business and professional men and women who meet
  once a month to share information and exchange points of view; and
         WHEREAS, The vision and leadership provided by the Cleburne
  Chamber of Commerce and the Cleburne Tuesday Forum have played an
  important role in the growth and vitality of their community, and
  the groups' efforts to foster a better informed and more engaged
  citizenry are indeed worthy of recognition; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby honor the Cleburne Chamber of Commerce and the
  Cleburne Tuesday Forum for their admirable work in behalf of area
  residents and extend to the visiting delegation sincere best wishes
  for a productive and memorable stay in Austin; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared
  for the organizations as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
