R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Clarine Deaver of Belton commemorated a special
  milestone in her life with the celebration of her 90th birthday on
  December 19, 2011; and
         WHEREAS, Born in 1921 to Irene and Tom Willie Smith in Belton,
  the former Clarine Smith attended school in Academy; she married
  Willie Melborn Deaver in 1940, and while he was serving his country
  in the military during World War II, she continued her studies and
  earned her high school diploma; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Deaver also attended beauty school and worked
  as a beautician to help support her family; her husband was employed
  with the Santa Fe Railroad, and his job took the family to San
  Angelo and Bangs before he retired and the couple returned to
  Belton; and
         WHEREAS, Loving partners and lifelong friends, Mrs. Deaver
  and her husband shared nearly 60 years together, until his passing
  in 1999; they became the parents of three children, Clara Beth
  Deaver, Lynn Jerlline Barnes, and Veta Carol Young, and Mrs. Deaver
  has since welcomed into her family two grandchildren, Mark Deaver
  Neeley and Cristina Louise Massey, and three great-grandchildren,
  Kelyn Green, Kensie Green, and Kaden Massey; and
         WHEREAS, Today, Mrs. Deaver lives near the home in which she
  was raised and not far from her grandfather's house, now a Recorded
  Texas Historic Landmark; and
         WHEREAS, Clarine Deaver is deeply cherished by an admiring
  circle of family and friends, and her nine decades of life well
  lived are an inspiration to all who know her; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Clarine Deaver on her 90th birthday
  and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mrs. Deaver as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
