R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Tami Diane Hollub Savage of Bay City has been named
  the 2012 Woman of the Year by the Bay City Chamber of Commerce &
  Agriculture; and
         WHEREAS, President of the Bay City Banking Center of
  Prosperity Bank, Ms. Savage has also held leadership positions with
  numerous community organizations; she is the past chair of the Bay
  City chamber and the president-elect and fund-raising chair of the
  local Boys and Girls Club, and she has served as president of the
  Junior Service League of Bay City and on a regional council advising
  the Lower Colorado River Authority; in addition, she has cochaired
  Matagorda Day in Austin and raised funds for the Matagorda Regional
  Hospital Foundation; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Savage, who worked in her parents' oil well
  drilling business while in college, graduated from Seguin High
  School and Texas Lutheran University, where she earned a degree in
  business; she is a member of and performs outreach for St. Mark's
  Episcopal Church; and
         WHEREAS, In all of her endeavors, Ms. Savage is supported by
  her loving husband, Stewart Savage, and she is the proud parent of
  two sons and the grandmother of a grandson; and
         WHEREAS, Tami Savage embodies the spirit of public engagement
  and involvement that is the lifeblood of American communities, and
  she is indeed deserving of this prestigious honor; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Tami Savage on her selection as the
  2012 Woman of the Year by the Bay City Chamber of Commerce &
  Agriculture and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
  success and happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Savage as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
