R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Members of young professionals organizations from
  across the state are gathering in Austin on March 6, 2013, to gain
  further insight into the workings of state government; and
         WHEREAS, Young professionals are one of the Lone Star State's
  most important resources, contributing greatly to the economic
  prosperity of present and future generations; groups such as those
  in attendance today allow emerging leaders to network, learn from
  one another, and develop vital career skills; and
         WHEREAS, With the 83rd Legislative Session well under way,
  the Capitol is a source of great activity, offering visitors an
  excellent opportunity to see their state government in action; the
  civic-minded young Texans here today have demonstrated commendable
  initiative and enthusiasm about the democratic process, which will
  serve them well throughout the coming years; and
         WHEREAS, By striving to strengthen their professional ties
  and build on their knowledge about state government, these dynamic
  young Texans are helping to create a brighter and more promising
  future for the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize March 6, 2013, as Young Professionals
  Day at the State Capitol and extend to all those visiting sincere
  best wishes for a memorable and productive day in Austin.
