R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Lone Star Association of Charitable Clinics is |
|
|
holding its fifth state conference in Round Rock on April 25-26, |
|
|
2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since its founding in 2005, the association has been |
|
|
dedicated to increasing access to quality health care for the |
|
|
underserved, offering networking and educational opportunities for |
|
|
affiliates, and collecting and disseminating information relevant |
|
|
to its mission; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This worthwhile organization assists over 60 |
|
|
charitable Texas clinics, which together have more than 300,000 |
|
|
patient visits each year; often staffed extensively by volunteers, |
|
|
these vital centers provide a practical alternative to costly |
|
|
hospital and emergency room care; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Lone Star Association of Charitable Clinics has |
|
|
worked to make efficient and effective medical treatment available |
|
|
to those who may otherwise go without, and its efforts have had a |
|
|
profound and positive influence on the citizens of Texas; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby recognize April 25, 2013, as Texas Charitable |
|
|
Clinic Day and extend to all involved with the clinics sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success with their important work. |
