R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Officer Randall K. Beddingfield retired from the
  Richardson Police Department on January 31, 2013, drawing to a
  close a notable tenure in law enforcement that spanned nearly three
  decades; and
         WHEREAS, Joining the Richardson force as a police officer in
  1984, Randall Beddingfield went on to distinguish himself in a
  range of duties over the years, including assignments as a field
  training officer, academy instructor, acting sergeant, and member
  of the oral review board; his exemplary conduct was widely
  respected and earned him an impressive 53 departmental and citizen
  commendations; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Officer Beddingfield enjoys
  the love and support of his wife, Bridgett, and his sons, Robert and
  Brandon; during his retirement, he looks forward to spending more
  time with his family, taking up new woodworking projects, and
  enjoying his pastimes of hunting and fishing; and
         WHEREAS, Randall Beddingfield's dedication, expertise, and
  commitment to protecting the safety and well-being of the public
  have greatly benefited the residents of Richardson, and he may
  indeed reflect with pride on his many achievements as he embarks on
  the next exciting chapter of his life; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Officer Randall K. Beddingfield on
  his retirement from the Richardson Police Department and extend to
  him sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Officer Beddingfield as an expression of high regard
  by the Texas House of Representatives.
