R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Officer Randall K. Beddingfield retired from the |
|
Richardson Police Department on January 31, 2013, drawing to a |
|
close a notable tenure in law enforcement that spanned nearly three |
|
decades; and |
|
WHEREAS, Joining the Richardson force as a police officer in |
|
1984, Randall Beddingfield went on to distinguish himself in a |
|
range of duties over the years, including assignments as a field |
|
training officer, academy instructor, acting sergeant, and member |
|
of the oral review board; his exemplary conduct was widely |
|
respected and earned him an impressive 53 departmental and citizen |
|
commendations; and |
|
WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Officer Beddingfield enjoys |
|
the love and support of his wife, Bridgett, and his sons, Robert and |
|
Brandon; during his retirement, he looks forward to spending more |
|
time with his family, taking up new woodworking projects, and |
|
enjoying his pastimes of hunting and fishing; and |
|
WHEREAS, Randall Beddingfield's dedication, expertise, and |
|
commitment to protecting the safety and well-being of the public |
|
have greatly benefited the residents of Richardson, and he may |
|
indeed reflect with pride on his many achievements as he embarks on |
|
the next exciting chapter of his life; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Officer Randall K. Beddingfield on |
|
his retirement from the Richardson Police Department and extend to |
|
him sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Officer Beddingfield as an expression of high regard |
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
