R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, William Tsao has represented his fellow citizens as |
|
|
a member of the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Board of Directors since |
|
|
2007; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Appointed to the position by the Dallas City |
|
|
Council, Mr. Tsao serves as chair of the Transit Oriented |
|
|
Development Committee and participates on other DART committees |
|
|
addressing administrative issues, the rail program, and revenue, |
|
|
among others; in addition, he is a member of the Regional Rail |
|
|
Right-of-Way Board of Directors; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This accomplished professional holds a bachelor's |
|
|
degree in civil engineering from National Chung Hsing University |
|
|
and a master's degree in civil engineering from The University of |
|
|
Texas at Arlington, and he is the president of Pinnacle Facility |
|
|
Engineering; he is involved in a number of organizations, including |
|
|
the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Concrete |
|
|
Institute, the North Texas Chinese Civil Engineers and Architects |
|
|
Association, and the National Multifamily Home Builders |
|
|
Association; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, DART is dedicated to providing safe, efficient, and |
|
|
effective public transportation within Dallas and beyond, and |
|
|
William Tsao is indeed deserving of recognition for his |
|
|
contributions to this vital effort; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend William Tsao for his exemplary service |
|
|
as a member of the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Board of Directors and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and |
|
|
happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Tsao as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
