R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The University of Texas at Dallas has been named one |
|
|
of the nation's "Best Value Colleges" by the Princeton Review; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Chosen from 650 institutions, UT Dallas is among |
|
|
four public universities in Texas represented on the review's 2013 |
|
|
list, which includes 75 public and 75 private colleges; the schools |
|
|
were judged on many criteria covering academics, cost, and |
|
|
financial aid; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Princeton Review editors lauded UT Dallas for its |
|
|
dedication to rewarding academic achievement with financial |
|
|
support; moreover, students polled during the assessment process |
|
|
praised the institution for its affordability, academic integrity, |
|
|
and committed professors; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The University of Texas at Dallas has enriched the |
|
|
lives of countless students by providing an excellent education for |
|
|
a moderate price, and its achievements are a source of pride to the |
|
|
Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate The University of Texas at Dallas |
|
|
on being named one of the nation's "Best Value Colleges" by the |
|
|
Princeton Review and extend to all those associated with the |
|
|
institution sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for UT Dallas as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
