R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the Greater Dallas Republicans are |
|
|
gathering at the State Capitol on March 13, 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Greater Dallas Republicans organization is |
|
|
dedicated to promoting such core conservative issues as equal |
|
|
individual opportunity, national and personal security, limited |
|
|
government, and personal responsibility; the group works |
|
|
diligently to increase political awareness among area residents |
|
|
while helping to elect Republican candidates to local, state, and |
|
|
national positions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through the GDR, citizens are able to gain a greater |
|
|
understanding of governmental affairs, increase their knowledge of |
|
|
current events, and participate in the campaigns of candidates with |
|
|
similar values; the club encourages all members to continue their |
|
|
involvement following elections, holding elected officials |
|
|
accountable and remaining politically active in the community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the Greater Dallas Republicans give |
|
|
freely of their time and talents to benefit the community, and it is |
|
|
a pleasure to commend them for their dedication and leadership; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby recognize the Greater Dallas Republicans for its |
|
|
contributions and extend to its members sincere best wishes for an |
|
|
enjoyable and productive visit; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
