R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Thomas and Virgie Boyd of Pickton celebrated their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary on March 1, 2013, and they may indeed |
|
|
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Thomas W. Boyd and the former Virgie Ann Gunn |
|
|
exchanged the vows of matrimony at Bethel Baptist Church in Dallas |
|
|
in 1963, and over the course of their marriage, they have found in |
|
|
each other a loving life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd count among their blessings a fine |
|
|
family that includes 4 children, William, Anthony, Angela, and |
|
|
Shawn, as well as 12 grandchildren, with whom they treasure sharing |
|
|
many special occasions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For half a century, Thomas and Virgie Boyd have |
|
|
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Thomas and Virgie Boyd on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Boyd as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
