R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sarah Roberts of Waco has been selected by |
|
|
Development Counsellors International as one of its top "40 Under |
|
|
40"; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Presented at the 2013 International Economic |
|
|
Development Council Leadership Summit, this award highlights the |
|
|
achievements of individuals who have excelled in the field of |
|
|
economic development; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Truly deserving of the distinction, Ms. Roberts has |
|
|
played an important role in bringing new industry to Central Texas |
|
|
through her work as senior vice president of economic development |
|
|
for the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce; a graduate of Baylor |
|
|
University, she has been a valued member of the chamber's staff |
|
|
since 2003; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The well-being of our communities depends on the |
|
|
vision and leadership of individuals like Sarah Roberts, whose |
|
|
efforts have increased opportunity for countless area Texans; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Sarah Roberts on her selection for |
|
|
the "40 Under 40" list by Development Counsellors International and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Roberts as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
