R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sue Lowry has been named the 2012-2013 Lion of the |
|
|
Year by the Waco Founder Lions Club; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the club in the late 1990s, Ms. Lowry |
|
|
has chaired numerous committees, served on the board of directors, |
|
|
and distinguished herself as the group's "tail twister"; moreover, |
|
|
she has been recognized by Lions Clubs International for her |
|
|
recruitment efforts; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Lowry is retired after working for more than 30 |
|
|
years as a physical education teacher at Waco High School; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through her active participation and leadership in |
|
|
the Lions Club, Sue Lowry has significantly contributed to the |
|
|
vitality of her community, and her selection for this honor is an |
|
|
indication of the high regard in which she is held by her fellow |
|
|
members; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Sue Lowry on being named the |
|
|
2012-2013 Lion of the Year by the Waco Founder Lions Club and extend |
|
|
to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Lowry as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
