R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Since its founding, the Lake Highlands Family YMCA |
|
|
has played a vital role in its North Texas community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A branch of the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, the |
|
|
Lake Highlands Family YMCA supports the mission to "put Christian |
|
|
values into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, |
|
|
mind, and body for all"; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The center brings people together and works to |
|
|
nurture potential by promoting youth development, fitness, and |
|
|
social responsibility; with a local presence and global reach, it |
|
|
aims to mobilize citizens to effect lasting, meaningful change; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The programs of the Lake Highlands Family YMCA have |
|
|
made a positive difference in many lives, and it is indeed fitting |
|
|
to recognize the organization's commitment to building a brighter |
|
|
future for the people of North Dallas; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor the Lake Highlands Family YMCA for its |
|
|
contributions to Dallas residents and extend to its administration |
|
|
and staff sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the center as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
