R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout is an achievement shared by |
|
many of this nation's leaders, and the attainment of this |
|
significant honor by Cayman Friedrich Ward of Georgetown also |
|
heralds a future bright with opportunity and promise; and |
|
WHEREAS, A sophomore at Georgetown High School and a member |
|
of Crestview Baptist Church, this fine young Texan has mastered a |
|
number of important skills in his quest to become an Eagle Scout; he |
|
has earned 33 merit badges requiring expertise in such diverse |
|
areas as first aid, personal fitness, and environmental science, |
|
and he has gained experience in leadership and teamwork while |
|
undertaking his Eagle Scout project, which involved the |
|
construction of information kiosks at Champions Park and Twin Lakes |
|
Park; and |
|
WHEREAS, Having contributed 431 volunteer hours to 47 service |
|
projects, Mr. Ward has served his peers as a leader, and in so |
|
doing, he has exemplified the many positive traits for which Boy |
|
Scouts are renowned; and |
|
WHEREAS, In fulfilling the rigorous requirements for |
|
attaining the Eagle Scout insignia, Cayman Ward has demonstrated an |
|
unwavering commitment to the organization and its ideals, and the |
|
knowledge and confidence he has acquired along the way will indeed |
|
serve him well in the years to come; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Cayman Friedrich Ward on attaining |
|
the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Ward as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
