R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Adam Assaker was named the 2013 Officer of the Year |
|
|
by the Rockdale Police Department in recognition of his outstanding |
|
|
service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, New to the force in 2011, Officer Assaker has won |
|
|
this distinction both years he was eligible for it; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The award is based on points officers compile over |
|
|
the course of carrying out their duties, and this esteemed public |
|
|
servant accumulated 2,700; his contributions to the department in |
|
|
2012 included issuing 759 citations and 379 warnings, as well as |
|
|
making 38 warrant, 15 felony, and 42 drug arrests; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Officer Assaker has proven himself to be an |
|
|
exemplary member of his profession, and he may indeed reflect with |
|
|
pride on the vital part he plays in ensuring the safety and welfare |
|
|
of the citizens of Rockdale; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Adam Assaker on being named the |
|
|
2013 Officer of the Year by the Rockdale Police Department and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success with his |
|
|
important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Officer Assaker as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
