R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Burnet County judge Donna Klaeger of Horseshoe Bay |
|
|
has been reappointed to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards by |
|
|
Governor Rick Perry; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Commission on Jail Standards is responsible for |
|
|
establishing standards for the care and treatment of county |
|
|
prisoners, and it is also in charge of the construction, |
|
|
maintenance, and operation of county jails; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Currently serving as chair of the commission, Judge |
|
|
Klaeger has further demonstrated her leadership capabilities as |
|
|
chair of the Capital Area Council of Governments and as a member of |
|
|
the Texas Association of Regional Councils and the 33rd Judicial |
|
|
District Juvenile Board; additionally, she has served as a member |
|
|
of a number of local organizations, including the Marble Falls/Lake |
|
|
LBJ and the Burnet Chambers of Commerce, the Central Texas Water |
|
|
Coalition, and the Seton Development Board; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Judge Klaeger's dedication, professionalism, and |
|
|
commitment to excellence have greatly benefited the people of this |
|
|
state, and she may indeed reflect with great pride on her notable |
|
|
career achievements; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Judge Donna Klaeger on her |
|
|
reappointment to the Texas Commission on Jail Standards and extend |
|
|
to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Judge Klaeger as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
