R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Albertina Corral of El Paso retired as a waitress at
  the Greenery Restaurant and Market on February 16, 2013, concluding
  a remarkable career that spanned 63 years in establishments owned
  by the Heins family; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Chihuahua City in Mexico in 1927, "Martha"
  Corral immigrated to the United States at the age of 22; she was not
  yet fluent in English when she was hired at the Heins restaurant in
  central El Paso, but her exceptional work ethic immediately
  impressed her boss; after 32 years at Heins, she began working at
  the Greenery in 1982; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Corral endeared herself to innumerable
  restaurant patrons over the years with her charm, panache, and
  commitment to customer service; she treated patrons like guests in
  her own home, and she helped three generations of the Heins family
  keep operations running smoothly; always helpful and enthusiastic,
  she assisted in training new hires and taught them to strive for
  high standards of hospitality; and
         WHEREAS, Widely admired by all who had the privilege of
  working with her, Martha Corral set an outstanding example of
  excellence during more than six decades in the service industry,
  and it is indeed fitting to honor this esteemed octogenarian for her
  accomplishments as she embarks on the next chapter of her life; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Martha Corral on her retirement
  from 63 years of waitressing in establishments owned by the Heins
  family and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
  happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Corral as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
