R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Andrew and Minnie Lee Womack of |
|
|
Blanchard celebrated their 79th wedding anniversary on March 23, |
|
|
2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, "Buddy" and Minnie Lee Womack first met as teenagers |
|
|
while attending church in Point Blank; united in matrimony in 1934, |
|
|
they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even |
|
|
richer with the addition of 6 children, 20 grandchildren, 44 |
|
|
great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Valued members of their East Texas community, Mr. |
|
|
Womack worked as a farmer for many years and Mrs. Womack has been a |
|
|
dedicated homemaker; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While innumerable changes have taken place in the |
|
|
world during the past nearly eight decades, this devoted husband |
|
|
and wife have remained constant in their commitment to each other, |
|
|
and the strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's |
|
|
challenges and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Andrew and Minnie Lee Womack on |
|
|
their 79th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Womack as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
