R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The certain knowledge of a life well lived may |
|
temper the profound sadness that the death of Samuel Bledsoe on |
|
November 19, 2012, brings to all who loved him; and |
|
WHEREAS, "Bud" Bledsoe was born on December 7, 1928, in |
|
Billings, Oklahoma, to Dewey and Martha Bledsoe; a successful |
|
businessman, Mr. Bledsoe worked in the grocery business in Muscle |
|
Shoals, Alabama, Ponca City, Oklahoma, and Big Sandy, Texas, where |
|
he owned Two Rivers Grocery; after his retirement, he made his home |
|
in Pittsburg, Texas; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through the years, Mr. Bledsoe enjoyed the love and |
|
support of his wife, Beth Bledsoe, who preceded him in death; the |
|
couple raised seven children, Stan, Dean, Curtis, Vicki, Marty, |
|
Becky, and Blake, and their family also grew to include 16 |
|
grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although Bud Bledsoe will be deeply missed, |
|
cherished memories of time spent in his company will long endure in |
|
the hearts of all those who held him dear; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Samuel Bledsoe and |
|
extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his |
|
children, Stan, Dean, and Curtis Bledsoe, Vicki Maxson, Marty |
|
Walorski, and Becky Hollingsworth; to his sisters, Betty June Dixon |
|
and Joanie Forga; to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and |
|
to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Samuel |
|
Bledsoe. |
