R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Frederich Reinhardt Schauer IV of Beeville
  auctioned his prize steer for a record $230,000 during the Junior
  Sale of Champions at the Fort Worth Stock Show, the highest price
  paid for a steer in the event's 116-year history; and
         WHEREAS, "Cuatro" Schauer raised Spider Monkey, a
  1,328-pound European Cross steer, for a year prior to the show on
  his family's ranch in Beeville; he has been showing steers and other
  animals in competition for more than nine years, and his previous
  wins include Grand Champion Youth Market Goat at the State Fair of
  Texas in 2011, Grand Champion Junior Market Steer at Rodeo Austin in
  2011, and Grand Champion Lamb at the 2009 State Fair of Texas; and
         WHEREAS, A graduate of A. C. Jones High School in Beeville,
  Mr. Schauer is using the funds he earned from his sale to pay for
  his education at Texas A&M University, where he is studying animal
  science; and
         WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has distinguished
  himself through his commitment to excellence and perseverance in
  the pursuit of his goals, and he may reflect with pride on a job well
  done; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Frederich Reinhardt Schauer IV on
  his success at the Fort Worth Stock Show and extend to him sincere
  best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Schauer as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
