R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Thomas
  J. Carbone of Dallas, who passed away on February 28, 2013; and
         WHEREAS, Born on September 9, 1952, to Pat and Jean Carbone,
  Thomas Carbone was raised in Dallas; he attended Bryan Adams High
  School and earned a degree in wildlife and fisheries sciences from
  Texas A&M University, and he later continued his education with
  graduate studies at Stephen F. Austin State University; for years,
  he owned and operated a gas station at the corner of Mockingbird
  Lane and Abrams Road in Dallas; and
         WHEREAS, An avid hunter and fisherman, Mr. Carbone was
  passionate about the conservation of natural resources, and he
  became involved in reforestation projects with Ducks Unlimited and
  later with National Park Service efforts to restore the sea turtle
  population on Padre Island; he graduated from the Texas Game Warden
  Academy at the age of 50 and was subsequently assigned to the Dallas
  area, where he worked to educate young people and engage them in
  outdoor activities; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Carbone was devoted to his wife, Susan, and he
  took great pride in his children, Pasquale, Jo, and Anthony, and in
  his grandson, Luca; and
         WHEREAS, The generosity of spirit with which Thomas Carbone
  lived his life endeared him to all who had the good fortune to know
  him, and they will forever hold him close in their hearts; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Thomas J. Carbone
  and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his
  wife, Susan Carbone; to his children, Pasquale Carbone and his
  wife, Jillian, Jo Welles and her husband, William, and Anthony
  Carbone; to his grandson, Luca Carbone; to his sister, Patsy
  Woolery, and her husband, Chad; and to his other relatives and
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Thomas J.
  Carbone.
