R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Henrietta Haessly of Spring has contributed to her
  fellow citizens through many years of purposeful endeavor with the
  Republican Party, and in so doing, she has set an inspiring example
  of dedication and strong principles; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Czech farmers, Mrs. Haessly was born
  in the small agricultural community of Granger; in 1967, she
  married John Haessly, and over the years, their devoted union has
  been further enriched with the addition of four children, Tom,
  Andrea, Tanya, and Robert, as well as two grandchildren, Greyson
  and Everett; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Haessly has been an active member of the
  Republican Party for more than three decades, helping run local
  polls every election year since 1982; she has volunteered for many
  conservative candidates, working as campaign area co-chair for
  former U.S. representative Jack Fields, and on the re-election
  staff for former state representative Paul Hilbert; in 1988, she
  served as a delegate to the National Republican Convention for
  George H. W. Bush, and she attended the Inaugural Ball in
  Washington, D.C., the following January; and
         WHEREAS, A tireless advocate for pro-life and
  family-oriented issues, she has been an integral member of the
  Texas Tea Party Republican Women in Spring since its founding; she
  is a top recruiter for the TTPRW, sharing her enthusiasm, passion,
  and wisdom with all those around her; and
         WHEREAS, Through her hard work and deeply held convictions,
  Henrietta Haessly has contributed to the democratic process and her
  community and she may reflect with pride on her accomplishments;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Henrietta Haessly for her work with the
  Republican Party in Texas and extend to her sincere best wishes for
  the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mrs. Haessly as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
