R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Fred
  Harrison of Caldwell, who passed away on February 6, 2013, at the
  age of 55; and
         WHEREAS, Born on June 22, 1957, Fred Harrison spent much of
  his life in the Caldwell area, graduating from Caldwell High School
  and attending Blinn College in Brenham; he was active in his
  community and once heroically saved a local woman from a house fire;
  and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Harrison worked at Texas A&M University for 31
  years and was a passionate supporter of the Aggies; in 2009, he
  received the university's Distinguished Achievement Award; and
         WHEREAS, A man of deep faith, Mr. Harrison joined Macedonia
  Missionary Baptist Church at a young age and became the
  congregation's pastor in 1999; in addition, he was an active member
  of the Missionary Baptist Church Association; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan shared a rewarding marriage with
  his wife, Cheryl Ann Druery Felder Harrison; when she died in 1994,
  Mr. Harrison was left to raise their three young sons, Frederick,
  Corey, and Chauncey, on his own; and
         WHEREAS, Fred Harrison lived a life that was centered around
  his family and his faith, and those who were fortunate enough to
  know him will forever remember him with great admiration and
  affection; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Fred Harrison and
  extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his
  sons, Frederick Harrison and Corey Harrison; to his grandsons,
  Chauncey Keyon Harrison and Amaree Harrison; to his brothers,
  Herman Harrison, Jr., Arthur Ray Harrison, Jerry Harrison, and
  Bruce Harrison; to his sister, Patricia McNeil; and to his other
  relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Fred
  Harrison.
