R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, In an outstanding display of skill and
  determination, the Waco Juniors Volleyball Club 14 Swoosh team
  qualified to play in Division 1 of the Tour of Texas by going
  undefeated at the Power League Qualifier event in Austin on January
  19 and 20
  , 2013; and
         WHEREAS, With its exceptional performance, this talented
  group of athletes has earned the chance to play against some of the
  top squads in the country at the next two tour stops; the team
  posted a perfect record of 8 wins and 0 losses at the qualifier,
  winning a total of 16 sets while dropping only 3 during match play;
  and
         WHEREAS, Under the skillful direction of Coach Anthony
  Avillanoza, 14 Swoosh excelled with a true team effort, and
  important contributions were made by each member of the roster:
  Jenna Thompson, McKenna Walker, Allye Beth Deaton, Rhein Trochim,
  Kate Lovejoy, Caroline Biltz, Samantha Sanders, Avery Rhodes,
  Miranda Youmans, and Bianca Convento; and
         WHEREAS, Through hard work and an unwavering commitment to
  play at the top of their game, the members of the 14 Swoosh
  volleyball team have set new standards of excellence to which
  others may aspire, and they may indeed reflect with pride on a job
  well done; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the Waco Juniors Volleyball Club 14
  Swoosh team on qualifying to play in Division 1 of the Tour of Texas
  and extend to the team's players and to Coach Avillanoza sincere
  best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
