R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, David Busch, founder of the Hawaiian Falls chain of
  water parks, was featured in the 2012 publication Bold Leadership:
  Biblical Principles for Marketplace Impact, written by Dr. Merlin
  Switzer; and
         WHEREAS, Authored by a professional business consultant, the
  book includes insight from more than 70 prominent business leaders
  on how their faith has factored into their management strategies,
  their workplace relationships, and their successes in the market;
  and
         WHEREAS, David Busch spent more than 30 years in the
  amusement park industry before opening the first Hawaiian Falls
  water park in Garland in 2003; in the decade since, his enterprise
  has expanded into a chain of four parks throughout North Texas and
  one in Waco; and
         WHEREAS, From the outset, Mr. Busch's faith has played a
  prominent role in his business philosophy, which emphasizes
  compassion and servant leadership; he has encouraged employees to
  care for guests according to the tenets of Christianity, such as
  putting others first and treating others as they wish to be treated;
  and
         WHEREAS, David Busch has made a positive difference in the
  business community by successfully integrating his faith into his
  management practices, and his words of advice are certain to be a
  source of inspiration to the many who aspire to emulate his model of
  principled leadership; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate David Busch on being featured in
  the book Bold Leadership: Biblical Principles for Marketplace
  Impact and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Busch as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
