R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The collaborative efforts of the City of Rowlett and
  the Rowlett Chamber of Commerce have helped to attract an
  impressive number of new businesses to their community during the
  first quarter of the 2013 fiscal year; and
         WHEREAS, The City of Rowlett Economic Development Department
  works in close partnership with the Rowlett Chamber of Commerce to
  promote the growth and prosperity of the local economy; in addition
  to encouraging the success of current businesses, members of these
  groups strive to make their city a top destination for new
  investment and development; and
         WHEREAS, The Economic Development Department's most recent
  quarterly report reflects considerable success in this regard, with
  more than a dozen new businesses choosing to make a home in Rowlett:
  Domino's Pizza, CVS Pharmacy, House of Pain, Hang Time Sports Grill
  and Bar, Fuentes Plumbing, Dalrock Dental Care, Fitness Revolution
  Rowlett, Kick 'Em, Smile Effects Family Dental and Orthodontics,
  KB's Brats, the Heartfelt Center for Relational Excellence,
  Stonebridge Veterinary Hospital of Rowlett, Lewis Commercial
  General Contractors, and the Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation;
  and
         WHEREAS, These establishments provide job opportunities
  while enhancing the diversity of services and amenities available
  to area residents, and it is indeed fitting to recognize the efforts
  of Rowlett's economic leaders to make their city a welcoming
  environment for such entrepreneurship; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby honor the City of Rowlett and the Rowlett
  Chamber of Commerce for their roles in bringing 14 new businesses to
  their community and extend to them sincere best wishes for
  continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared
  for the City of Rowlett Economic Development Department and the
  Rowlett Chamber of Commerce as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
