R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, The Addison Business Association was established in |
|
|
1975 by business executives and professionals "to help build |
|
|
Addison into a great and prosperous city"; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In the decades since, the ABA has strived to improve |
|
|
communications with local government authorities, establish a |
|
|
channel for expressing opinions on regulatory and budgetary issues, |
|
|
and collaborate with city officials on decisions that have an |
|
|
impact on trade; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With more than 150 members from the retail, |
|
|
manufacturing, financial, and professional sectors, the ABA has |
|
|
significantly influenced discussions on such important topics as |
|
|
tollway extensions, mass transit, and zoning laws; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By effectively representing the business community |
|
|
and working to enhance the economic climate of its area, the Addison |
|
|
Business Association is making important contributions to the |
|
|
growth and vitality of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend the Addison Business Association for its |
|
|
endeavors to promote prosperity; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the ABA as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
