R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Bill and Patricia Smith of Lubbock celebrated their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary on March 7, 2013, and they may indeed |
|
|
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Bill Smith and the former Patricia Neff exchanged |
|
|
the vows of matrimony at First Methodist Church in Floydada in 1963, |
|
|
and over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other |
|
|
a loving life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Smith count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes two daughters, Sheryl Stephens and her |
|
|
husband, Scott, and Becky Duncan and her husband, Brad, as well as |
|
|
three grandsons, with whom they treasure sharing many special |
|
|
occasions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For half a century, Bill and Patricia Smith have |
|
|
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Bill and Patricia Smith on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Smith as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
