R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Brazoria County Association for Citizens with
  Handicaps is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its founding on
  April 13, 2013; and
         WHEREAS, Known as BACH Rehabilitation Center, the
  organization was formed in 1973 and chartered by the State of Texas
  two years later; since its inception, it has worked to support the
  growth and learning process of children with developmental delays
  and disabilities, so they may reach their full potential; and
         WHEREAS, BACH was originally located in a modest room donated
  by Angleton Danbury General Hospital, but thanks to generous
  community support through the years, the center has moved to
  increasingly larger spaces to accommodate its growing needs; today,
  BACH occupies its own building on the Angleton Danbury Medical
  Center campus, and it has satellite offices in Lake Jackson and
  Alvin; and
         WHEREAS, BACH carries out its mission to "help children with
  special needs achieve" through two initiatives; its Early Childhood
  Intervention Program works with infants and toddlers and their
  families, and its Support Services Program offers free recreational
  and educational opportunities for children up to age 12; and
         WHEREAS, For four decades, BACH Rehabilitation Center has
  made a positive difference in the lives of numerous young Texans in
  Brazoria County, and it is a pleasure to honor the organization for
  its commitment to the physical, emotional, and social well-being of
  children with special needs; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Brazoria
  County Association for Citizens with Handicaps and extend to all
  those affiliated with BACH sincere best wishes for continued
  success with their important work; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the center as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
