R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |
|
of Mary Ruth Meinen Lantrip of Pilot Point, who passed away on |
|
February 28, 2013, at the age of 89; and |
|
WHEREAS, The former Mary Ruth Meinen was born in Denton on |
|
September 11, 1923, to Herman and Dora Meinen; she found a life |
|
partner in Thurman Lantrip, whom she married on January 26, 1942, |
|
and the couple shared 71 years together; they became the parents of |
|
three sons, Billy, Tommy, and Michael Lee, and with the passing |
|
years, their family grew to include 5 grandchildren and 11 |
|
great-grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, A woman of faith, Mrs. Lantrip was a lifelong member |
|
of the First Rock Fellowship Baptist Church in Aubrey; she enjoyed |
|
cooking for her family, going to garage sales, and traveling; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mary Lantrip treasured the time she spent in the |
|
company of her family and friends, and those she leaves behind will |
|
in turn cherish their memories of this kind and caring woman; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Mary Ruth Meinen |
|
Lantrip and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to |
|
her husband, Thurman Ralph Lantrip; to her sons, Billy and Tommy |
|
Lantrip; to her daughters-in-law, Mary Lantrip, Oleta Lantrip, and |
|
Becky Measan; to her sisters, Kathrine Brooks and Betty Sue Martin; |
|
to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and to her other |
|
relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Mary Ruth |
|
Meinen Lantrip. |
