R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Countless lives were touched by the kindness and |
|
generosity of Betty Joyce Lynch of Aubrey, who passed away on March |
|
1, 2013, at the age of 76; and |
|
WHEREAS, The former Betty Joyce Yeatts was born in Ponder on |
|
January 22, 1937, to Charlie and Carnie Yeatts; she later graduated |
|
from Denton High School and was a valued member of the First Baptist |
|
Church of Denton; and |
|
WHEREAS, She became the wife of Ray Lynch on August 20, 1954, |
|
and the couple happily spent 56 years together before Mr. Lynch's |
|
passing in 2011; their marriage was further enriched by the |
|
addition of three daughters and a son, and with the passing years, |
|
their family grew to include six grandchildren and four |
|
great-grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, A devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, Mrs. Lynch |
|
was admired for her strength and wisdom, and her joyful personality |
|
was always a welcome presence at family gatherings and reunions; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Betty Lynch enjoyed a life that was rich in the |
|
intangibles that matter most, and she is deeply missed by all those |
|
who held her dear; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Betty Joyce Lynch |
|
and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
daughters, Donna Lynch, Sara Shelton, and Jana Enlow; to her son, |
|
Merwyn Lynch; to her sisters, Faye Hughes, Jo Gossett, and Berta |
|
Farr; to her brother, C. L. Yeatts; to her grandchildren and |
|
great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives and many friends; |
|
and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Betty Joyce |
|
Lynch. |
